The feeling this mural is meant evoke is the feeling of movement. The lines are meant to make the wall feel as if it is moving horizontally in each direction like the rhythm of a set of waves as they touch down at the edge of a lake. By layering and overlapping the materials the illusion of depth is created with the paper. Repetition is created and seen when grouping horizontal layers that are raised and lowered so the viewer is able to see different levels as they move from position to another. This mural is meant to give a feeling of calmness because of the simplicity and scale of the design. It is not meant to overwhelm the viewer but they are supposed to feel surrounded by it. The feeling of movement is felt when the viewer is walking along the mural and the lines are changing giving a dynamic sense of transformation. If this mural was made it would be crafted using steel sheets bent so they would mimic this same movement and lights would be added to the back so that they would shine down on other pieces it would also be placed infant of a large window so together these sources of light would make big oval and waving shadows to continue this feeling of movement.
